In 2007, Tom Ford's New York store opened on Madison Avenue. I attended a party to celebrate the store's opening, and at that occasion I wore a bespoke suit. Since it is bespoke, it takes about a year to complete. By the time it was finished, my body shape had changed considerably, but it was a special suit that I could wear to tone my body and mind when it really mattered.

But over time, I wanted something more casual and light to wear, so I bought this navy jacket when Tom Ford's Milan store opened in 2008. It's basically a traditional navy jacket, but the size of the lapel and bold shape are exactly Tom Ford style. Paired with metal buttons, it has the feel of a navy blazer for an "introductory ivy" style. You can wear this every day! I thought. What's more, I decided to purchase this because I thought it would give me a more fashionable impression, rather than the typical old man who loves ivy. However, when I actually purchased it, it took me quite a while to get used to its harsh shape. Even though I bought it in June, I hardly wore it until fall. But now that you've got a Tom Ford that's easy to wear, there's no reason not to make more use of it. After thinking about it a lot, I decided to try my hand at it. I soaked the blazer in plenty of water, then took the plunge and threw it in the washer/dryer at home. First, dehydrate. Then go to dry. I think it took about 10 to 15 minutes, but I checked several times along the way, trying to find the right shape. When it gets firm enough, take it out of the dryer and then dry it in the shade. As a result, it wrinkled nicely and was easy to wear as expected. I've been wearing it for about 20 years (I've had it dry cleaned several times during that time) and it's in good condition.

The metal gold buttons with a textured pattern also set it apart from the typical school style of an ivy blazer. I like the dress-like atmosphere and wear it often. The pants I paired this time with are off-white cotton pique pants from PRADA. The shirt is a dress shirt from LANVIN COLLECTION. I run it in the washing machine, dry it naturally, and wear it without ironing. Borsalino is pure white felt. The color is spring/summer, but the texture is autumn/winter, making it a delicate masterpiece. In a sense, I think it's suitable for May in Japan, where the temperature changes drastically. And when the weather is nice, my shoes are pure white Jack Purcells.
Well, today I think I'll go to a taco shop in Yoyogi-Uehara that I found while walking around the neighborhood the other day.

TOM FORD's woven name is hexagonal. At first it felt strange, but now I love it.

The peak trapel also worked out well. Successful taste! I am proud of myself.

I like the wrinkles from the center line to the vent. I think it was a good idea to stand nervously next to the dryer and watch it.

The texture and thinness of the metal button surface is cool. As expected of Tom Ford. It's sexy.

I was in and out of the hospital repeatedly from January to April, so I gained a little weight. I'm fine now! I want to wear Jack Purcell without getting it dirty.
